The Office of Mayor Bill Carpenter has announced a celebration in honor of the 1 year anniversary of The Champion Plan to be held on Thursday March 2nd at 12 PM while officially opening the brand new Champion Plan office space located at 142 Crescent St. in Brockton on the first floor.
“We look forward to celebrating some of the success stories of our first year, while opening our new headquarters and preparing to continue to expand our efforts to save lives as we battle the opioid epidemic.
Launched one year ago, The Champion Plan is a unique and innovative program designed to combat the regions opioid epidemic and get individuals struggling with substance use disorders the help they need.
The program is a partnership between the Office of Mayor Bill Carpenter, The Brockton Police Department, Stairway to recovery and Brewster Ambulance. Over the past year, the program has received support from partners including Gosnold Treatment Center, Boston VA Healthcare System, High Point treatment Center, Spectrum Health Systems, Adcare Hospital, Norcap Lodge and Learn to Cope.
At the one year anniversary event, Mayor of Brockton Bill Carpenter will speak as well as people who have participated in the program and representatives of some of The Champion Plans partnering organizations
A video package will be displayed and statistics reflecting on The Champion Plans first year will be made available.
